Captus Fotography, a Seattle based photography project, was founded by Thien Lai and Jesse White with the vision that magazine quality photos should be within everyone's reach.

My grandfather was a portrait photographer and I remember distinctly a portrait he had taken of my mother of when she was sixteen. The old dusty look of the film and the gradation of tones in black in white. Her eyes lightly fixed on something off to the side; I imagine that she was thinking of my father whether or not she even knew him then. Such a photograph that carries so much intention it inevitably undertakes a story, a memory.

Business Director and Photographer
Photography has always been a passion of mine. A way to express how I see the world.
From the time I was seven I always had a camera in my hand.
In many ways it became an extension of my right hand.
Captus is a way for me to bring the worlds of others to life; to freeze their moments and tell their stories.
